The village square is surrounded by beamed medieval Kentish structures and is such a good example of a truly English village, that it has been used many times for photo shoots! In fact the whole village is in a conservation area and has been listed it attracts visits by tourists worldwide. The Kent village of Chilham itself has two public houses; a tea room, post office and gift shop and on the edge of the village a farm shop selling local produce that you can enjoy during your stay at this luxury holiday cottage in Kent. For foodies why not take a trip to Whitstable to sample the oysters or buy fresh fish direct from the fisherman at the quay or explore the internationally renowned vineyards that Kent is known for with Biddenden Vineyards only a 30 minute drive away. There are several stunning gardens to visit within an easy reach including Sissinghurst and Great Dixter.
