This cosy self-catering holiday cottage in Kent has been completed to the highest standard with an open aspect giving it a real feeling of light and space. The owners have given it a contemporary style and have added a high specification well equipped kitchen and bathroom.
After a day of exploring, walking or shopping, what better place to relax in the summer than in your own garden; just put your feet up and listen to bird song while drinking a nice beverage. Take a seat on the quaint garden arbour bench at the end of your garden to read a good book or plan your next day's itinerary. You might be joined by the chickens as they like a bit of company too!
Or retreat to your open plan dining/sitting room and sink into the comfortable sofa bed or tuck into some delicious home cooked food at the dining table which easily seats five people.
The attractive and good sized double bedroom of this Kent holiday cottage has been prettily furnished with a king size bed (can be configured into twin beds, please request at time of booking). A sofa bed in the sitting room sleeps an extra two guests and there is an additional Z-bed available.
A short drive away you can find the Halfway House in Challock, The Flying Horse and The Plough Inn, Stalisfield which offers good hearty food and a sweet garden area. The George Inn at Molash is near too.
The nearest train station to the property is located in the village of Wye. Parking is available at the property next to the barn, with space for two cars. The perfect place for a rural retreat.

Local Information about Challock, Kent
Challock is a mostly wooded, large village and civil parish in the Borough of Ashford, Kent, England. It dates from around AD823. It contains a boundary to one of the highest points on the North Downs: the 700-foot (210 m) contour is close to the village centre.
The historic and thriving villages of Charing, Lenham, Wye and Chilham are a short drive away and have an array of boutiques, pretty tea rooms, independent village shops, local pubs and restaurants. They all offer a great community feel and are well known.
Challock is surrounded by great walking routes, you can take the easy route and walk a short 3.5 miles called Kings Wood. For the more experienced ramblers there is the Challock to Chilham walk, 7.26 miles, or the 8 miles Challock to Boughton Lees walking route.
As Kent has more castles than any other county there are lots to visit during your stay at this luxury holiday cottage - particularly the beautiful moated Leeds Castle, and Dover Castle with its wonderful historic battlements and the secret World War II chambers dug into the white cliffs.
Leeds Castle is located about 15 miles from this Kent self-catering holiday cottage, an easy 20 minute drive and is one of the most beautiful castles in Britain. With a moated castle, spacious grounds and even a maze there is plenty to keep everyone amused for a whole day out. For those who like excitement Leeds Castle also has a Go Ape attraction which is a high wire climbing adventure through the treetops.
Ashford International Station is approx. 20 minutes away and has direct fast connections to London. From Ashford International London is only 38 minutes away. For those wishing to make a day trip to France, Kent offers both the Eurostar Train at Ashford and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone which will transport you to a French location in 30 minutes.
Locally you can go riding, have a day's fishing or try out some of the links golf courses in and around Kent. Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens are 45 minutes drive from the cottage, perfect for a day out during your stay.
The cathedral city of Canterbury is 10 miles to the north of this holiday cottage which is well worth a visit whilst you are in the Kent area. If you are looking for a beach, the Kent holiday cottage is about 20 minutes from Hythe with its old-fashioned charm and long promenade, a fun day out in Kent for all the family! Whitstable, a lovely seaside location which is also just 20 minutes away.
