The Hop Barn is approached through large double doors into a spacious hallway with seating area, storage for coats and boots and wooden flooring throughout. There are 7 double bedrooms on this floor and 2 double bedrooms on the first floor making 9 bedrooms in total. The main bedroom has a large double bed with wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers leading from this is the dressing room with sofa bed sleeping 2 , fitted cupboards and leads through to an ensuite bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower, wc and basin. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed with an ensuite bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower, wc and basin. The further 5 bedrooms on this floor have wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps, and twin linked double beds plus a single bed and each has its own ensuite shower room with shower, wc and basin. There are a further two bedrooms upstairs, both with twin zip linked beds and a single bed and each has an ensuite shower room.
Stairs to the first floor lead to a very spacious living area with a cosy log burning fire at one end with spectacular modern designer chandeliers. Grouped around this are several seating areas, tv, sky and dvd and doors leading to the decking area with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. There is a full height bar area with stools. The dining area has dining for 32 so that all guests can sit down and enjoy a special occasion together.
The games room has a selection of books, TV, sky and a playstation plus 2 sofabeds, both of which sleep 2. All rooms have wi fi.
The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped, range oven, separate double oven (so 6 ovens in total), professional dishwasher, domestic dishwasher, 2 fridges, freezer, washing machine, dryer.
The Oast is on the outskirts of one of the prettiest villages in the Weald of Kent, with pretty period cottages overlooking a village pond with a fountain and even some duck. The winding village high street has some charming antique shops and tea rooms together with restaurants and pubs to enjoy during your stay. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside with The Oast situated next to the stunning stately home of Finchcocks incorporating the famous Musical Museum where it is even possible to play some of the beautiful antique instruments. There is a renowned gastro pub within walking distance of The Oast.
This part of Kent is well known for its vineyards, several of which are open to the public for tours and visits and even the odd tasting as well. The beautiful Georgian Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is just 6 miles away with its stunning architecture, excellent shopping centre and of course you can take the health giving spring water that the town is renowned for.
There are lots of things to do in the area from visiting the wonderful gardens at Sissinghurst Castle to exploring Bedgebury Pinetum, with its extensive walks, visitor centre and world renowned conifer collection.
