There is much to see and do in the area with riding, mountain biking and stunning walks all around. The gardens that extend around the house are quite simply stunning and the owners have set up a mini golf course for you and the family to enjoy during your stay. This is a truly peaceful and tranquil spot for everyone to enjoy.
The property was originally the village Sunday school and offer unique split level living and flexible accommodation, making this ideal for couples or a small family looking for that secluded stay. Situated adjacent to the 12th Century St John's Church near to the quaint village of Doddington and overlooking the North Downs. This holiday accommodation offers simple accommodation with some quirks including upper gallery seating with tempting views from every window.

Ideally located within just half an hour of both Leeds Castle, a beautiful moated castle with Segway, Go Ape and a golf course in the grounds and the beautiful medieval city of Canterbury, there are lots of days out to enjoy, the trendy seaside town of Whistable is also within easy reach so whatever you fancy its not too far away! All in all a perfect spot to enjoy a short break or holiday.

The Old School Cottage: (sleeps 2+2) within a split level reception room with sofa bed, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, extended gardens with two seating areas that seat 4 plus, outhouse / utility room, summer house, BBQ, putting green, and parking for up to 4 cars.
Entry is available via two doors, the garden entry being the most popular or through the heavy solid wood door opposite the church as the main entrance.

Up 5 steps to the living area - ground floor with no steps if entering from the main door.
Living area, table and chairs to seat 4, armchair and sofa seating 3 with electric fire,

Sofa seating for 6 guests (two sofa beds sleeps 2) TV, DVD player.
Beautiful extended gardens, fenced, but not completely enclosed, with summer house and further patio seating provided.
Outhouse with single bed (at a supplement and only in summer), housing the washing machine, dryer and freezer.

This self catering English property is less than half a mile from the Kent village of Doddington with pub, garage and general stores and children's playground. There are several pubs near to this lovely country cottage offering good food ideal for those who do not wish to cook in this self catering holiday let, the nearest of which is in Milstead, Kent.
There is a riding stable nearby where horse riding and mountain bikes are available for hire together with maps of recommended routes through the areas extensive woodland. In addition for a fun day out of the English country cottage, clay pigeon shooting can be organised by prior arrangement, at a cost of £45 per person which includes cost of cartridges.
The county town of Maidstone is 15 miles to the west, from this particular holiday let in Kent, with the historic cathedral city of Canterbury an easy 25 minute drive. Access to the Channel Tunnel is at junction 12 of M20 and it can be reached in half an hour - crossings take 35 minutes, hereby you can enjoy more than just Kent when you come to stay in this wonderful country retreat. For day trips to London, there is a regular service every half hour from Sittingbourne in Kent, not far from this holiday cottage, which takes about an hour. The North Kent coast is only a few miles away, where the reserves at Elmley and Oare offer some of the best bird watching in the south-east for you to enjoy whilst you stay in Doddington, Kent, especially in winter.
Further afield this self catering holiday house is well placed for visits to Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, the naval dockyards at Chatham or a visit to the wonderful medieval castles dotted right along the Kent and Sussex coast (we have more castles in Kent than any other county!).
