The Hop Bin set in six acres of landscaped gardens and surrounded by stunning Kent countryside. Prior to 1980 it was still used for storing and drying hops, it forms part of a skilfully converted Oast House and retains much of its natural form.

Located in an area with a rich cultural history and spectacular scenery there are castles, stately homes, gardens, country walks, vineyards and much more, all within easy reach.

On the first floor this self catering apartment has a fully fitted kitchen, comfortable lounge and two light and spacious bedrooms. There is an internal stairs that leads to the master bedroom and bathroom.

There is shared use of the tennis court, outdoor pools and fun climbing area. There is a play area with swings, an adventure fort, tree house, and basketball hoop.

A selection of leisure facilities offer exceptional relaxation time.

Take a dip in the outdoor pool (open 01 June to 31 August) or play on the 'all-weather' tennis court.

For young guests there is a play area with swings, tree house and mini-football pitch.

There is an indoor games room with pool table and darts board (darts not included).

Local Information about Tudeley, Kent

The Hop Bin is located near Tonbridge, a thriving town with an excellent 42 minute train service to London Charing Cross or to the seaside at Hastings! There are so many places to visit from The Hop Bin, you are spoilt for choice.

Tonbridge Castle with its wonderful Gatehouse, takes you back almost 740 years! Set in landscaped gardens with picturesque grounds overlooking the River Medway, Tonbridge Castle is reputedly England's finest example of a Norman motte and bailey castle. Tours are available from the Tourist Information Centre. There is a great bookshop located in this part of Tonbridge, Mr Books, in a beautiful medieval building. Tonbridge even has its own theatre, The Oast Theatre inside the 19th Century Kentish oast house, with 10 productions every year!

There are a variety of wonderful houses and gardens to visit, including the National Trust properties such as Ightham Mote (15 minutes' drive), Hever Castle and Scotney Castle (20 minutes drive), both moated castles, Knowle, near Sevenoaks and Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill, near Westerham. Bodiam Castle, although in Sussex, is only 30 minutes' drive and Penshurst Place is not far from the holiday cottage, with beautiful gardens and a fun adventure playground for children.

Bedgebury Forest and National Park is only 20 minutes' drive away, which is a stunning area of natural beauty miles of walks and cycling paths, including 'Go Ape,' a hugely fun activity where you can swing through the trees. Nearby Bewl water is the largest area of inland water in the South-East. If you are a water sports enthusiast, this is the place to visit with lots of activities including sailing, canoeing and wind-surfing. Bowles Outdoor Centre, is situated just 15 minutes away where you can learn to rock climb, build rafts and even ski on the 2 dry ski slopes.

A visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells is a must. It's a very attractive town with great shopping facilities. It was established as a spa town in Georgian times and was very popular under Richard (Beau) Nash when the Pantiles and its Chalybeate Spring attracted visitors from all over Europe who wanted to try the waters. Nowadays, it is a pleasant place to wander, admire the architecture and visit its antique shops and cafes. Great for those who love shopping too!
