The barn has been tastefully decorated with that home from home feel whilst being spacious and family friendly with open plan kitchen and fully opening French doors that lead out onto a covered patio and enclosed garden - superb for a kick about with a football or simply a lazy afternoon in the sunshine!

Located in the heart of the countryside with great access around Kent by car in all directions and for those wanting to stay close by the local Pub is a winner for the locals with some delightful English Fayre.

Tilmangate Farm is a credit to the owners eye for detail offering everything with a contemporary and welcoming self catering property with families in mind and creature comforts including underfloor heating and TVs and DVDs in every room!

2 Tilmangate Farm is one of two barns that are side by side but each have a patio area off the lounge with furniture to sit and enjoy the views over the surrounding countryside. With soundproof connecting doors the barns offer ideal separate accommodation but can be combined to accommodate up to 10 people.

Local Information about Ulcombe, Kent

The small, quiet and ancient village of Ulcombe, with its lovely church, lies in an enviable location amidst the lush greenery of Kent. In an area such as this, outdoor pursuits are plentiful with opportunities for walking, cycling, riding, tennis, golf and fishing. Made all the more pleasant due to the beautiful setting.

The charming Wealden village of Headcorn with pretty village green, neatly kept medieval cottages and a long High Street, which cunningly conceals a shopping centre to cater for nearly every need and the village of Lenham are both 4 miles away. Lenham Village Square used as a market place for many hundreds of years still remains the focal point of the village and holds a monthly Country Market.

Venturing further afield, the M20 (10 minutes) brings the whole of the county to your doorstep, from the Darenth Valley to the Channel and beyond! London and the West End are within easy reach, only 75 minutes direct from nearby Lenham station.

The gardens of Godinton House are nearby; this is a superb ancient Jacobean house with medieval hall surrounded by twelve acres of restored gardens - even a tea room for your perfect day out in the country. For other lovely gardens in the area, this Kent house is close to Sissinghurst Castle garden, Stoneacre in Otham and Belmont Place near Faversham. Kent is famous for its wonderful gardens, living up to its name as The Garden of England.

Leeds Castle is just a few miles from Tilmangate Barn and is one of the most beautiful castles in Britain. With a moated castle, spacious grounds and even a maze there is plenty to keep everyone amused for a whole day out. For those who like excitement Leeds Castle also has a Go Ape attraction which is a high wire climbing adventure through the treetops.

The Pepper Box is a lovely rural country pub in Ulcombe which dates from 1606. With a large garden and an excellent restaurant, serving delicious home cooked food and serving fine ales. It is possible to walk here from your Kent self-catering cottage, which is always an advantage especially with the driver!

For those wishing to make a day trip to France, Kent offers both the Eurostar Train at Ashford and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone which will transport you to a French location in 30 minutes - just don't forget to pack your passport!

For golfers this area has many options, there are lovely courses at Leeds Castle, Eastwell Manor, Chart Hills at Biddenden and further afield the links courses on the Kent coast.
