The village pub is a short stroll down the lane or for the more adventurous we recommend a walk for a couple of miles along the canal into Chichester itself, which is made for exploring. Blending old and new, Chichester offers an enticing mix of designer label boutiques, high street shopping, renowned art galleries and stylish restaurants and cafes.
Discover the beautiful seascapes around Chichester Harbour by foot or by car, and explore the coastal and harbour villages such as Bosham and Itchenor. The glorious National Trust beach at West Wittering is just a 15 minutes' drive, it has been a favourite south coast destination for families and water sports enthusiasts alike for generations. The South Downs National Park is easily accessible from Copse Cottage - we suggest a trip to nearby Uppark House and Gardens majestically perched on a vantage point high on the South Downs ridge.
Perfectly located for the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, the cottage is also within driving distance of historic Portsmouth and you can easily pop over to the Isle of Wight for the day too.
Chichester is accessible by train from London and Birmingham and is also under an hour from Southampton airport.
All in all, this enchanting holiday cottage won't disappoint at any time of year!
